高铝球
高铝球是氧化铝球的一个类别,由于其氧化铝含量较高而被简称为高铝球。高铝球根据氧化铝含量又可细分为90、92、95、99等系列。高铝球由于其具有高强度、高硬度、高耐磨性,比重大、体积小、耐高温、耐腐蚀、无污染等优异特性而被广泛的运用于不同类型的陶瓷、瓷釉、玻璃、化工等等工厂的厚硬材质精加工和深加工。
以92%含量的高铝球为例,其比重(密度)应该达到3.60以上,氧化铝含量达到91.5%以上,含铁低。同样的原料,同样的配方,同样的烧成温度下,原料研磨后的粉料细度越小,则比重越高,耐磨性越好。高铝球的比重主要受粉料和烧成影响,烧生(烧不熟)、粉料过粗、加了杂料等因素会导致球石的比重不够。比重低的球石不耐磨,易开裂,但比重高也不能代表球石一定耐磨,因为过度烧结的球石也可以达到较高的比重。
球石最重要的质量体现是耐磨性,有些检测机构也能做磨耗的测验,但数据仅供参考,因为实验室做检测的环境条件和生产中的环境是有很大区别的,首先检测是水磨的,而很多厂家都是干磨用;其次检测的很多时候是没有放入其他原料的,只是球石和球石之间摩擦,而实际生产过程中是要加入各种原料的。
高铝球的使用者还是以陶瓷,水泥,化工,化肥,石化,油漆,搪瓷,矿山,冶金,涂料,耐火材料,无机矿物粉体等行业,使用为主,也有很多其他行业的厂家在尝试使用这种研磨介质。目前有数据显示,使用鹅卵石(天然球石)+10%高铝球(φ35MM)研磨稀泥,对比只用鹅卵石,能缩短15%的研磨时间;使用中铝球+30%高铝球(φ35MM)研磨稀泥,对比只用中铝球,能缩短30%左右的研磨时间,单纯以节省下来的电费计算,大概2年时间就能把因为使用高铝球而高出的成本“省”回来。有个别厂家的报告显示,全部用高铝球代替原来的天然球石,产量大约是原来的3倍。用高铝球研磨原料,不仅能节省电费,提高产量,而且提高机械使用效率,对机械设备有很大的保护作用。

Corundum ball
Corundum ball is a type of alumina ball, because of its high content of alumina; it is also referred to as alumina ball. Alumina ball can also be broken down into 90,92,95,99 series by its alumina content. Due to its high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, large proportion, small size, high temperature, corrosion resistance, no pollution and other excellent properties, Corundum ball has been widely used for the deep processing of hard materials like different types of ceramic, enamel, glass, chemicals and other factories.
Take 92% content alumina balls as an example, its specific gravity (density) should at least reach 3.60 and alumina 91.5%, and its iron content should be low. With similar raw materials, the same formula and firing temperatures, the smaller the powder fineness, the higher proportion and the better wear resistance is. The proportion of high alumina ball is mainly affected by the powder and firing, the low proportion ball is not wearing, but it does not mean a high proportion one will have good abrasion resistance. Because the ball over-sintering can achieve the same high proportion either.
The most important quality of corundum ball is the abrasion resistance. Some testing agencies can do the wear test, but the data is only for reference, because the testing environmental conditions are different from the production environment. Alumina ball is mainly used in ceramics, cement, chemicals, fertilizer, petrochemical, paint, enamel, mining, metallurgy, coatings, refractories and inorganic mineral powder, but there are many other industry manufacturers try to use such grinding media. Statistics have shown that using pebbles (natural stone ball) by adding10% alumina ball (φ35MM) polishing slurry can shorten 15% grinding time, compared with only using pebbles; using aluminum ball by adding alumina balls (φ35MM) polishing slurry reduce by 30% of the grinding time, compared with only using aluminum ball.
High-purity alumina corundum balls are mainly made by processing a-Al2O3 super industry alumina and a small amount of alumina additive. The product has excellent mechanical strength, resistance to strong acid and alkali corrosion and thermal shock performance. It is mainly used in large oil field, petrochemical, gas, methanol, dimethyl ether and other chemical industries.
